CDRA Regatta Taree 13-14th March 2010
NUBC recently made the trip up to Taree for the weekend to compete in the Central Districts Rowing Association Regatta, with excellent results.
We achieved first place in heats of Men’s and Women’s Novice Singles (Andrew Evans, Merran Holmes and Roanne Maxwell), as well as in Men’s and Women’s Intermediate Singles (Ben Farnsworth, Jack Hanley and Emma Mujic).
We also won many Championship events at the regatta, including:
- Championship Women’s Coxed Four (Bronwyn Flowers, Emma Mujic, Genevieve Buckton and Kate Sands, coxed by Annelise Bissett)
- Championship Men’s Double (a composite crew of Anthony Mujic-NUBC and Jason Nissen-Hunter Rowing Club)
- Championship Men’s and Women’s Eights (Men’s eight- James Elliot, Jack Lowe, Andrew Gibson, Jack Hanley, Ben Farnsworth, William Flowers, Tom Marshall and Andrew Evans, Women’s eight- see photo below)

Anthony Mujic claimed the title of CDRA Single Scull Champion for the second year running (see below).
Other crews also achieved great results with many second and third places as well. Overall it was a successful and fun weekend for all!
