This Saturday, we will be holding a short meeting at training to discuss options for uni games. While we attend plenty of regattas throughout the season, most members will agree that uni games is one of the highlights of the year. Beginners are welcome to come along and find out more about it and what it means to be a competitive member. If you are interested going to uni games but cannot make the meeting, please contact Merran at president@nubc.info.
The meeting will be held at the shed, before training, so everything will run at usual times i.e. car pooling 8:30 am at Edward’s Hall or arriving 9 am at the shed. Remember your $60 membership if you haven’t yet paid it to Brad!
Note: For those who missed out on the Learn-to-Row weeks but are still interested in rowing, you’re more than welcome to come to any of our Saturday morning and Friday afternoon (2:30 pm at Edward’s Hall) sessions.
As you all know, novice regatta is coming up! It is THIS SATURDAY, and we expect you all to come and have some fun! It’s your chance to spend some more time on the water, get to know your fellow rowers and enjoy a BBQ lunch.
Also (drumroll)… the Mountaineering Club has challenged us to a competition! There is some serious club pride on the line, and I personally feel we can dominate this little “canoe relay”. Please. WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT!
So bring your drink bottles, sunglasses, socks and excitement… we’re meeting outside the front of TEDS at the usual time (8.30am, or 9am at the shed) and car pooling out to the shed from there:)
Saturday night is also the NOVICE REGATTA AFTER PARTY! It starts at 8pm at King Street Hotel. It should be amazing fun.
Here is an update on what’s going on at NUBC in the next few weeks:
